for the Performing Arts School of Music is one of the only private
music schools in Chicago to offer complete comprehensive sequential
programs for children ages walking through 10 years old. Our
professional teaching staff is dedicated to making your child’s
learning experience fun. They use a creative and nurturing approach
makes learning music enjoyable for your child.
Our EarlyBirds!
Early childhood and Pre-school music classes are progressively
sequenced to offer children more challenging musical actives
as they increase their musical skills. The program prepares
children for our Private Lesson Programs where children have
the option of several instrumental and vocal programs.
The
Shaak Piano Method is our an award winning piano method
designed to introduce your children to music utilizing a natural
bond between the parent, child and teacher. Students learn
traditional reading but begin playing fun music right away
at their first lesson.
Jazz Piano
For Kids - This is new program is an alternative to traditional
piano lessons. This program is run by Laura Hoffman and teaches
children fundamental music, reading, harmonization, song-writing
and performance using a jazz and blues repertoire curriculum.
Guitar
Players - is an exciting approach to learning the most
popular instrument in the world, the guitar. This program
is for young students beginning at the age of 5 and approaches
learning the guitar using classical guitar technical foundation.
Rhythm Circles
- Learning Music has never been so much fun. Drums have been
used in every culture and at every era in history.
Private
lessons - The most traditional and effective way to study
a musical instrument is through private lessons. Private lessons
give students the opportunity to enjoy one-on-one instruction
with the flexibility of individualized scheduling.
